It wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t too bright\nfor inside it stood a man, his face having different sides,\ndifferent colors and proportions\nHe was wearing two long beads around his neck, almost naked\nAs if inside of him lived a higher power,\u00c2\u00a0\na superior manufacturer of dreams\n\nWhen he walked out, his face started to change\nThe trees around started to reduce, their dead leaves started\u00c2\u00a0\ngoing up and becoming alive\nThe earth started singing, as the air was dancing,\nthe forest was vanishing small, small\n\nShe saw his face turn into an Okonko spirit,Then into an Egungun mask, into a faceless man,\nthen into a man she used to know, her first husband,\u00c2\u00a0\nhis green beards, his long ancient staff that was dabbed in\nsacred diabolic rituals\n\nShe called out his name:\u00c2\u00a0\nBintu !\nAnd butterflies came out of her mouth\nShe cried and a storm overflowed the streams\nthe salt in her eyes folded her tears. When she fell silent, darkness\u00c2\u00a0\ncame out from the ground and suddenly shrouded her face\n\nWhen next she spoke, her misty voice pushed back the darkness\nInvisible fingers started touching her body, his face started glowing,\nan apparition, invisible hands started working the talking drums\nShinning eyes started growing out of the bushes,\nrevealing their hiding places.
