In a move against the rebels,
\nThe Capitol sends sentient stars
\nNearing supernova to destroy
\nAny star systems refusing
\nTo comply with their regime.<\/p>\n

As a reward, they are promised
\nA safe zone for their starlings,
\nTo grow and thrive without
\nBeing harvested or destroyed
\nFor fuel — protected.<\/p>\n

These stars are too massive
\nTo be captured as dark matter
\nIn Singularity Jars,
\nRequiring far too much power
\nThan anyone can harness.<\/p>\n

Even Bella cannot get close enough
\nTo negotiate. A sordid business,
\nShe thinks. The stars are protecting
\nTheir young — a Universal trait.
\nShe is just like them.<\/p>\n

News comes in of an insurgence
\nIn her star system and now the Capitol
\nHas sent a red supergiant to destroy them.
\nShe ports to its nursery, gathers
\nIts starlings into a Singularity Jar,<\/p>\n

And channels their energy
\nTo open a wormhole ahead of it.
\nBella releases the starlings
\nInto its path, watching,
\nAs the star sweeps them up<\/p>\n

Into its tremendous orbit,
\nAnd turns back to the Capitol,
\nAway from the star system
\nIt was heading to destroy,
\nBella’s home planet inside it.<\/p>\n

The dying star ushers its starlings
\nTo the safe zone, and as it enters
\nThe galactic centre, it supernovas,
\nDestroying both the Capitol and
\nThe planets surrounding it.<\/p>\n

Bella returns home to a new world
\nAnd a new hope. No more overlords.
\nNo more bounties and chasing stars.
\nNo more coercion and world destruction.
\nShe is finally free to be a child again.<\/p>\n
